Dew Aurelia is one of the few remaining humans to have survived the Petrifying, a cataclysmic event that tore apart the human world and left its history buried in rubble. Searching for answers, Dew travels to the grand feilish city of Varla, drawn by rumours of a forbidden market trading in human technology.

When she arrives, things are not what she expected. Varla is in chaos, with refugees of the Petrifying and the city's guards clashing in the streets. Falling in with a gang of thieving cats, Dew will run foul of secretive fairies, chase misunderstood dragons, and help robots obsessed with custard fight for their rights.

Trapped in the middle of Varla's political turmoil and with a mysterious stranger out for her blood, will Dew find the market and the secret of her people?

The Colours of the Sun will be a creative fantasy about finding your place in the world with 95 illustrations.
